Pershing II Model Rocket Fin

Pershing II Model Rocket Fin

This is a fin for a Pershing II model rocket, marking the culmination of my design process after crafting the nose cone earlier. I've now turned my attention to creating the fin, allowing me to assemble the complete rocket at last. You can modify the openSCAD program and enter the diameter of the body tube intended for use in the rocket. From that number, the program will scale the fin accordingly and even calculate the length of the body tube required for a precise scale model. Upon my initial print run, I observed that these fins emerged quite slender, prompting me to incorporate a mechanism to enhance their thickness. The variable extra_thickness is employed for this purpose. If set to 0, it yields a faithful replica of the original fin. By increasing its value, you can achieve thicker and more robust fins. I recommend experimenting with different values to arrive at an aesthetically pleasing print.
