Hand-cranked animation of an unshakeable object and a nearly unstoppable force. Makes a fantastic conversation starter as a bookend, and printing the figurine with glow-in-the-dark filament creates mesmerizing nighttime effects. This thing was inspired by the "Disney Computation Designs of Mechanical Characters" video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DfznnKUwywQ. A great study of fulcrums, gears, etc. Excellent work. I wrote my own software to simulate the interactions of the various parts. Designed using my own software and Sketchup 8, and printed in PLA on a Makerbot Replicator 2 using Makerware 2.3.3.42.
