Perseus Heavy Siege Gun Carriage
thingiverse
Every once in a very rare while, one finds oneself in a situation that demands the precise application of high explosives. Often, though, one's proximity to the detonation of those same high explosives makes solving problems difficult without suffering substantial collateral damage to oneself. Humanity, ever innovative and always looking for new ways to defend itself, developed heavy artillery as a solution. The "Perseus" Heavy Siege Gun is just such a tool. It is essentially 14" caliber naval artillery mounted on a towable chassis. Floor mats are not included, but it does come with one year of Sirius Satellite Radio. Rights and lefts of parts are included; if more than one is needed, that quantity is listed at the end of the part's name. This will be a challenging print for FDM printers, so I am working on a simpler version for those machines. SLA printing is ideal, as it has just been confirmed printable. Things missing from this design include the main support trunnion/axle; I plan to use six 1.75mm Neo magnets for the test model. A pivot axle is also optional - I intend to glue my gun to the base, so there's no need to pivot.
