Updated on 09-02-24:Added models “Persano_Duct_for_the_CR6SE-_Base_V4” and “Persano_Duct_for_the_CR6SE-_Base_V4_stronger”, that has some minor improvements. The stronger one has a thin part below that helps the sides to not bend and makes the model sturdier. Do not change printing orientation, I found that is better to spend more grams on supports and to use a brim that to lay it flat in the other orientation. You will have a more flat surface at the top and the model will be perfectly flat. I recommend using fuzzy skin with the following settings for a better look (it does not affect the functionality):Fuzzy Skin Thickness: 0.1Fuzzy Skin Density: 4Fuzzy Skin Point Distance: 0.25Also added new 5020 Wider duct models (which I am using) and 5015 Wider Ducts that has a more centered airflow and uploaded the step files for both.Updated on 20-11-23:Added model “Persano_Duct_for_the_CR6SE-_Base_V3”, that has some minor improvements. If you are using V2, it is not needed to change. V3 is more stable at the back because I increased the contact space between the x carriage and it. The other changes were related to the mesh, so not a big deal.Updated on 31-10-23:Added model “Persano_Duct_for_the_CR6SE-_Base_V2”, which was made using Onshape instead of Tinkercad (the old one was made on it). Now only a single version is going to be provided, but the old ones are still offered.I do recommend this version, is sturdier, more precise and has a lot less movement compared to the previous version. And now it is 100% symmetric.Original Post:A “modular” approach and the first time I use a real CAD software to design something. I tried to make a cooling solution that is simple, easy to print, lightweight and very powerful! You are going to need:6-10mm M3 screws x 6 (4 for the ducts, 2 to mount the base to the printer)25mm M3 screws x2M3 nuts x2M3 heated inserts (4 for the normal base, 6 for the one with the ADXL mount)Assembly Instructions:Put the heated inserts in the baseAssemble the duct ends with the fans (I consider that you already soldered both fans, and you are using them with one connector)Put the assembled ducts with the fans in the baseConnect and enjoy (you can connect it before assembling, depending on the length of the cable you use)Remember to do a PID Calibration. If you use Klipper, I recommend you to print the one with the holes and chamfer for the ADXL 345 accelerometer (the name indicates which one has the mount).Step files were also added, so you can edit it and do your magic. Also, here you have the Onshape link so it is easier for you to make your own remixes and changes.https://cad.onshape.com/documents/599f99f96d73d77dba996485/w/660f63dadeb628aff54a68a7/e/bc2129cc035ff9e7ea8f4e69?renderMode=0&uiState=65247ff2bc1b632c6babac92If you liked this, please leave a like.
