Perplexing Pyramid (RD version)

This one of my favorite ball pyramid puzzles gets a new twist when I made it from rhombic dodecahedra instead of spheres. These puzzle pieces can also be printed without supports. Print one copy of each of the six pieces plus the base plate to get started. Solving this puzzle will likely take some time, and it's possible that this version is easier than the traditional sphere version - or maybe even harder. The final pyramid is self-supporting, unlike the sphere version, so if you want an added challenge, leave out the base plate! Note that two additional pyramid shapes can be built with these six pieces, as shown in the photos.
