Perpetual Motion Train

Perpetual Motion Train

To redesign the wooden train car, I combined a perpetual motion concept, making the main body and wheels from ABS plastic while using steel for bearings and axles. The choice of perpetual motion is due to its low cost and battery-free operation; only a push is required for it to move. Although perpetual motion won't work with this design in theory, it could run for several minutes independently. I based the wheel design on an overbalanced perpetual motion wheel, where turning the wheel causes the bearings to drop, ensuring continuous movement. Intrigued by perpetual motion, I watched various videos and decided to apply this concept to a small, lightweight toy train that would function for a short time.
