Perpetual Flip Calendar

prusaprinters

Based off of Measure Workshops perpetual flip calendar this is one made for mmu and palette capable printers. To change the date is just a flip. To allow printing on many different sized printers I designed it large and it can be scaled down to 33% of its current scale. This design is intended for a mmu or palette capable printer but you can print the slides bases and then paint the numbers in if you want. You need to print two washers. I highly recommend you go and watch Measure Workshops video on this design as it shows how to construct and position the numbers. Also, I may release a version that has a spot for the month just above the date but that may be a few weeks.
Please read notes below.
Measure Workshops video:

<oembed url="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VJ1Hv339CgQ"></oembed>

Print instructions

I scaled this model down to 50% but designed it big to allow for printing on different printers. It can be scaled down to 33% of its designed scale. This design is intended for the slides or number pieces to be printed on a mmu or palette printer but if you want you can print the base pieces in a single color and paint the numbers in the groves.
Assembly is very similar to what is shown in the clip around 5:27. Make sure to look at the position of the number slides as misplacement will cause the date to be inaccurate. The number layout is. Start by making two piles with these numbers up. 1,3,5,6,7,9,11,13,15 and 2,4,6,8,10,12,14. With 1 and 2 on the top place, there piles into the body making sure that you can read them in the window. Also, make sure all numbers are the same way up in the pile. if not one slide will be upside down and that is not fun to redo. The only thing is the axil is only friction fitted compared to his and the addition of spacers to the axel.

<oembed url="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VJ1Hv339CgQ"></oembed>

!!! To try and prevent jams and skipping only turn the calendar slowly as shown in the video making sure you hear two slides move. If the slides skip or do not move as intended first try to move backwards one-half rotation. That usually makes it go back a few days and then you can continue from there. If that does not work open it up and make sure the slides are in the same order as in the linked video. !!!
