Perp Gun (3D Printed Nerf Gun)
thingiverse
I've been tinkering with taking apart Nerf guns to see how they work, and also disassembling a couple knockoff versions. I dared myself to come up with my own design and after messing around on and off for about a year, I finally printed out a working version - it's the 4th generation so far. Coming soon: 3D Printed Nerf Double Barrel Shotty... I left this gun pretty plain except for some blatant promotion, but what I really want to see is everyone jumping in and remaking, remixing, and retweaking to their hearts' content right now. Right now it shoots around twenty feet - all Nerf guns have to shoot at least 75 feet, so help me figure out how to get up to that mark. Also, trick it out! Instructions: You'll need to scale these models by x1.15... This will allow the dart to slide into the nozzle. I tried a bunch of different sizes and this one worked the best; I also tried x1.16, but it may be too loose or just right - that depends on your printer. You'll need four different springs and three O-rings for this gun. The springs can be found at a hardware store, but they won't have the ones you're looking for at Blowes or Homecheapo... . You'll also need ABS to Abs glue, not transition glue, and some plumber's grease or heat grease to coat the O-rings so they slide smoothly through the pipe. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tPKA3qQfgOA&feature=youtu.be
