Permanent NYLON 3D Printed Coffee Filter
thingiverse
This permanent coffee filter, equivalent to most standard 12-cup sizes, is made from NYLON material. It was printed using a 2BEIGH3 3D Printer capable of printing with NYLON. The printer details can be found at instructables.com/CombinationCNCMachineand3DPrinter. NYLON is the preferred choice for permanent coffee filters due to its absorption properties. Customization is easy, as users only need to adjust fill levels and change numbers in skinning software for personalized filters. After printing, snip out or burn out cross threads and remember to wash the filter before use. The attached STL file was used to print the shown filter, which was printed on a 2BEIGH3 3D Printer with settings including Standard NYLON material, a 0.42mm nozzle, a 109-minute print time, a 1/4" plexi-glass platform with standard masking tape, a 28mm/s speed, one perimeter, 50% fill, and no retraction. The user noted that the taste was a bit light for their preference using Taulman NYLON.
