My Attempt to Build a Permanent Magnet Generator/Alternator for Wind Turbine Use I'm Working on Creating a Generator That Will Utilize 20 Neodymium Magnets in Two Rotors, Each Measuring 10x30x2 mm. These Rotors Will Be Supported by Two 608Z Ball Bearings and an 8mm Diameter Shaft. To Complete the Generator, I'll Need to Wind Five Coils Using 0.3mm Enamelled Copper Wire and Secure Them in Place with M3 & M4 Screws and Nuts. A Detailed Electronic Component Bill of Materials (BOM) and Schematics Will Be Published Later, Along with a Winding Rig Design to Help With Coil Assembly. I'll Keep Everyone Informed About the Progress and Testing Process of This Project. Note: As This Is My First Attempt at Building a Generator and I'm Not an Engineer, I Welcome Any Input or Feedback That Can Help Improve the Design. Feel Free to Modify and Enhance My FreeCad File for Better Results. 2020 05 03: The 3D Print Files for the Generator Core, Double Rotor, Top Cover, and Bottom Cover Are Now Ready. The Rotor Has Been Successfully Printed and Equipped with Magnets.
