Peristaltic Pump
thingiverse
I designed a peristaltic pump using Fusion 360 to learn about mechanism modeling. The pump was intended to work seamlessly with a geared stepper motor, which I salvaged from a commercially available peristaltic pump. However, I recognized that not everyone has access to these specialized motors, so I'm currently developing versions of 'bottommk2' and 'mainmk2' that are compatible with NEMA17 motors. To achieve optimal results, it's recommended to print the design in ABS or PETG. The assembly requires 3mm screws to secure all components together, along with a 5mm silicone hose tube. For those interested, peristaltic pumps are designed to circulate fluid through a hose without any direct contact between the liquid and mechanical parts. This unique feature makes them ideal for use in the medical industry, where maintaining sterility is paramount.
