This Project Was Designed to Help Students Learn Elements Placement I Wanted to Design Something That Would Give Kids a More Hands-on Fun Way to Learn All Elements I Saw Online That Four New Elements Were Added to the Periodic Table of Elements and Thought an "Elements Puzzle" Would Be Perfect for This Challenge I Did Not Have Time to Print the Whole Project, But I Did Do Two Test Prints That Show Everything Will Work How I Designed This Project For Every Piece, I Used the Text Tool in 123d Design and Wrote the Abbreviation for the Element That the Piece Would Become I Then Used the Extrusion Tool to Give the Text a Third Dimension After That, I Centered the Text in the Middle of the Piece and Moved It Up, Using It as a Cutting Tool to Add the Text to the Piece I Continued This Process for Every Element Board Design First, I Designed the Shape of the Board Then, I Made a Copy of All the Pieces and Scaled Them Up to 1.05, Using Them as a Cutting Tool to Add Holes for the Pieces After That, I Added the Text to the Top Finally, I Used the Sketch Tool to Draw a Dovetail Design That I Would Then Use to Cut the Board in Half, Giving It Dovetail Joints to Connect the Two Pieces After Printing Project: Learn the Periodic Table Project Name: Periodic Table of Elements Puzzle Overview & Background: In This Project, Students Will Learn the Placement of All Elements Along with (If the Teacher Chooses) How to Write Chemical Bonds and Find the Number of Valence Electrons Each Element Has.
