Periodic Density
thingiverse
Introducing my first creation: a 3D periodic table displaying each element's density via relative height. This is just the beginning of various periodic trends I plan to showcase! The OpenSCAD file may not be perfect, but feel free to experiment with it. I've designed a spreadsheet that takes any "periodic" data and generates an OpenSCAD code for rendering element boxes based on their properties. A maximum height of 3 cm is assigned to the box depending on the greatest value among all elements. Symbols are used to label each box. This creation can be beneficial for chemistry teachers looking to demonstrate how element properties relate to their position on the periodic table and electronic configurations. If successful, I'll upload more data like ionization energy, electron affinity, and effective nuclear charge. Your feedback or suggestions for improvements are greatly appreciated!
With this file you will be able to print Periodic Density with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Periodic Density.
