Pergola
grabcad
A 2.3m tall Pergola, approx. 4.5m long and 3m wide. Check out the drawing for the correct length of the vertical timbers. The picture is only for representation. I've read from several places that in order to provide enough anchorage to the whole structure, 1/4th of the height of the vertical timber needs to be buried underground. I know, I went all out with the L-brackets, forgive me, but I am a paranoid person by nature. You can easily replace this by using wood screws directly onto the assembling timbers. The material that is used generally in New Zealand is Treated Pine, of several grades for this purpose.
