Pergo's Ver 2 Robo3D (R1 and Plus) Bearing Spool Holder
thingiverse
Here it is! Version 2 more precise and stronger than version 1. Wow, it printed and assembled better than I imagined. Yes, the first two pics do have the roller from my version #1. I'm printing the new roller now. Pics will be updated when done. Ya, that's my old stock 8mm bar holding up the spool. The added weight of the steel rod versus the printed 7.9 mm bar is much better and provides a smoother roll off. I need to cut it down to size. Cut the screw ends off too. I only had 8mm long M3 screws which were too short, and the 40 mm M3's are way too long. Major changes include that . . . The top slot is now closed off to keep heat in during ABS prints. (See my Robo3D Head Chamber) Much stronger and sturdier. More stable. Uses two 3 mm screws and a nut with a 5.4 mm clearance. You don't have to print the 7.9 mm Bar, instead you can use an 8 mm smooth rod. Please review "Print Orientation.png" for print rotations before printing. These are the bearings I used, or you can print the 22mm spacer if you don't yet have the bearings. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B010GI2ZJY $7.99 Prime. These bearings are very smooth ABEC 3 would be good too. Pugslyyy used these https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01C6OFIDQ. I think it's best to print all parts solid, 100% in-fill. Comments please... and let's see those prints. After all this is what made me decide to rework a Version 2!
