I'm convinced this design can be adapted for numerous furniture pieces that require repairs. I suggest using ABS or Nylon to prevent damage to flooring and ensure superior strength. Pick your preferred infill material for customization. Rounded edges could make it a suitable replacement for a skateboard, although I wouldn't want to ride it either! Included is the 123 Design file, which you can modify as needed.
