Perfume Sample Box
thingiverse
This small container holds up to four miniature perfume flasks (tiny spray bottles).\r\n\r\nIt's compact enough to fit in a purse and prevent those pesky little bottles from slipping away into hidden pockets of the bag.\r\n\r\nThe box accommodates miniature spray bottles measuring about 6.7cm x 1.3cm in size.\r\n\r\nIf it holds fewer than four bottles, they are securely kept in place and don't move around inside the container.\r\n\r\nNo supports or raft is necessary. Avoid printing with too few upper layers (at least three recommended) to prevent a transparent interior, especially at 15% infill - this obviously depends on your infill percentage.\r\n\r\nTo assemble, insert a piece of 1.75mm filament through the hinge and melt its ends slightly. I melted one end into a bead using a lighter, and the second end using a nail heated up with a lighter, but you can use a soldering iron as well.\r\n\r\nThe ornaments shown in the photos (bunny, bear from the Winnie-the-Pooh cartoon) are not included in the model because I don't own the copyright, but it's easy to create your own recessed ornament using Tinkercad:\r\n1. Use Google Image search to find a nice drawing.\r\n2. Convert the image into an SVG file using one of many online web sites.\r\n3. Import this model and the SVG into Tinkercad, then use the SVG (about 0.6mm thick) as a hole to combine with the lid.\r\n\r\nThe two-colour box was made by switching filament mid-print (if you're using 0.2mm layer height, that would be after three layers). The nice shiny filament used is Polyalchemy's Copper Elixir.
