Using Flow Simulation Premium, a simple plate had arbitrary mass flow rate at its inlet, while environmental pressure was applied at the exit. A perforated plate, situated within, was analyzed by calculating stresses and Factor of Safety (FOS) based on pressures exerted by water on the exposed surfaces; results indicated an FOS of approximately 11. The plate's material composition is an Al alloy.
