Perfectly Level Wall Hook

<h3>Background</h3><p>A struggle I often have with putting up pictures is getting them level. &nbsp;I can sometimes balance a level on a frame, but it's never very easy, and frame will eventually tilt since it's hanging on a round nail. &nbsp;I wanted to design a wall hook that helps you put up a level frame, and keeps it level forever. &nbsp;My other requirement for this design is that it require no additional hardware; it all had to be 3D printed, with the exception of the phone which I figure most everybody has.</p><p>This hook is made to attach to a wall with a command strip (in this case a small command strip, but I've uploaded CAD files so you can adjust the design as needed for any command strip). &nbsp;It has a wide hook surface so that the frame can't rotate around it. &nbsp;It also has small grooves in the sides, which mate with the hanging tool.</p><p>The hanging tool has a slot where hooks can be placed (they slide in on the grooves), a small handle, and a clip at the top to hold a phone or bubble level. &nbsp;Print as many hooks as you need, but you'll only need to print one hanging tool.</p><p>See the attached video (sorry, best I could upload was a GIF) for a visual of the intructions.</p><h3>Print Instructions</h3><p><strong>Hanging Tool</strong></p><p>Orientation: Back side face down</p><p>Layer Height: .15mm</p><p>Infill: 20%</p><p><strong>Hook</strong></p><p>Orientation: Side face down (This is the strongest orientation for the hooks, but for lightweight frames you can print it back side face down).</p><p>Layer Height: .15mm</p><p>Infill: Solid</p><h3>Instructions for Use</h3><ol><li>Put a command strip on the back of the hook, remove the paper, and slide the hook into the hanging tool.</li><li>Put your phone in the clip with a leveling app open.</li><li>Hang the frame on the hook so you can figure out where you'd like to hang it. &nbsp;Once you have the general location, tilt the hanging tool until your phone shows it is level.</li><li>Remove the picture, and use a finger to press the hook into the wall (the design keeps the command strip from sticking to the wall while you move the picture around, but once you press into it, it will adhere).</li><li>Slide the hanging tool down so that it comes off of the hook, and you're good! &nbsp;You can hang a frame on the hook and it will be perfectly level!</li></ol>
