I've tried out numerous spool holders over time - basic ones, with or without bearing support, mounted on stands or frames. Each has its advantages and disadvantages. So, I created one that suits my needs. My custom spool holder is attached to a frame (the Alfawise U30), accommodating all spools with an inside diameter of 37mm. If the spool hole is wide enough (>45mm), gravity takes care of the unrolling process without requiring any additional mechanisms. To upgrade my existing mount, I added an 8mm threaded rod, paired it with two 608 bearings, and secured everything with nuts and washers. This simple modification rendered all my previous spool holders obsolete!
