Perfect fitting Ultimaker 2 cover

I aimed to create a custom cover for my UM2 extended + that included a sealed compartment for ABS printing. To achieve this, I designed one from 6mm phenolic or "Pertinax," a material I found inexpensively on Ebay (20 Euros for the entire set). This material is incredibly sturdy and easy to mill. The enclosure was milled using a 1.5mm mill, which proved to be an effective tool for the task. I opted for a connection method similar to that of the Ultimaker, utilizing tabs and screws. By adopting this approach, I was able to create a highly stable casing that fits perfectly on the UM2. In the images provided, you may notice that the Polycarbonate windows are missing. These were milled from 8mm PC material. Update: I have since added a temperature controller (Inkbird ITC-2000) and created a custom case to house it. The files for this project can be found here as well. This setup allows me to monitor the temperature at print head height in real-time. If necessary, you can also integrate a small fan into the design, which will activate when the interior of the case reaches an excessively high temperature.
