I'm on the lookout for a non-lethal defense option that's easy to carry and deploy quickly when needed. After considering various options, I settled on pepper spray as my go-to choice. I wanted something compact, lightweight, and versatile enough to be easily worn on my front and ready for instant use if required. I based my design around Sabre's 3-in-1 Compact Pepper Spray Clip: https://www.sabrered.com/pepper-spray/3-1-compact-pepper-spray-clip . This product stood out due to its compact size, affordability, excellent reviews, and the presence of two types of irritants. The holster is designed for a 1.5" belt but can likely be worn on a 1.25" as well. On my belt, it sits firmly in place without any movement. The bottom of the holster features an open slot allowing me to insert my little finger and easily deploy the canister with my hand positioned for quick action. The deployment process is remarkably swift. To enhance discretion, I attempted to color the red button and silver bottom using Sharpie ink; however, this method didn't yield lasting results, so I'll need to invest in black paint eventually. My initial designs were larger and more rugged but I optimized them for size by making them thinner to make it as compact as possible. After a month of use, there's been no damage observed. I might consider vapor smoothing the design to further enhance its strength, but this remains on my to-do list. The sliding mechanism is a significant feature that I appreciate, and I'm considering adapting it for a female-friendly version by replacing the belt clip with a purse strap clip. For those interested in more details, I've included a link to a YouTube video demonstrating the deployment: https://youtu.be/5bfJurIxRRE . The original model file is also available in Fusion format. Any feedback or suggestions are welcome and greatly appreciated.
