Pepper containers for Scoville boardgame
thingiverse
I've taken notes for the base game. Keep in mind that it hasn't been tested with the expansion yet. The concave brown lids can handle heaping mounds of peppers, which may fit extra peppers, but I'm not entirely sure. These cute pepper containers are perfect for the Scoville board game. It's a great game for 2-6 players, and you should definitely check it out! In the pictures, the standard lid shows the magnets through the surface. To fix this issue, I made the lids thicker. Painting them was fine for me. The pepper colors all fit inside the 'pepper box with magnets' and the normal 'pepper lid' except for the brown peppers. The brown peppers are more numerous than the other peppers of the same height. That's why there's an extra lid called 'pepper lid brown.' It's concave and taller, which makes room for the extra peppers. They still fit in the tray nice, but they heap slightly. The red/blue/yellow peppers all fit, but you have to jiggle them around a little because it's a tight fit. If you want more room, just print some extra 'brown lids' instead. The magnets needed are disc magnets, 8mm diameter x 0.8 mm thick. 1 mm thick magnets should work okay too, and the lid will just have a slight gap. If you don't have any suitable magnets, then I also included the design without the mounting areas for the magnets. This version stacks fairly nicely when not in use because of the angled sides. I suggest buying a batch of rare earth disc magnets on eBay if you have a 3D printer. Magnets are really handy in this hobby, and I find disc/ring magnets to be the most versatile. I really hope someone gets some use out of these!
