People and Car Miniatures
thingiverse
I designed these miniature models to serve as size references for my students, allowing them to scale their design project's components accurately. For this project, students are required to create a building of some type (residence, library, school, fire station), a vehicle, and an additional item of their choice (park benches, traffic signs, streetlights, etc.). I included the car_plate.stl file for attaching block-style axles and wheels to the car. The photos show the axles and wheels in place. Following this prompt, students are tasked with building the body that sits atop these components. I have shared a sample car model here. A note: These models were designed to be quite small (approximately 32mm tall) so that they could be printed quickly while minimizing filament usage. This allowed us to create detailed designs that can be painted and viewed as part of an entire town or city when complete.
