It contains 882 files, uncompressed size of 10.4 GB, and features 212 individual people along with their source files for learning purposes. Behold, citizens of Thingiverse: PEOPLE! A collection of 212 individuals scanned by me using Reconstructme software and an XBox 360 Kinect as the scanner. Each person was 3D printed on site using a MakerBot Thing-O-Matic or Replicator in just minutes. But how did I manage to collect so many PEOPLE scans? Throughout the year, various galleries, exhibitions, and institutions invited me to showcase MakerBots and my scanning work. Scanning and printing PEOPLE allows them to witness 3D printing firsthand and understand its potential. Notable events where I displayed my work include: - Chicago Ideas Week at the Oriental Theater, Chicago - EXPO Chicago 2012 at Navy Pier, Chicago - Facemask exhibition at Zhou B Art Center, Chicago - Improbable Objects exhibition at What It Is gallery, Chicago - Maker Faire Detroit at Henry Ford Museum, Detroit To get started with your own PEOPLE collection, follow these instructions: 1. Scale the models (if desired) 2. Slice them at .4 infill and 1 shell 3. Print away at a speed of 150mm/s on my TOM or 180mm/s on my Replicator using Sailfish firmware!
With this file you will be able to print PEOPLE with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on PEOPLE.
