PEON 230 Landing Skid

PEON 230 Landing Skid

Inspired by a skid set from an Esky Honey Bee 2 helicopter, I had several from an older helicopter that I used to fly with great success. The 5mm aluminum skid from the Esky Honey Bee2 helicopter (Part# EK1-0560) fits perfectly into the custom landing skid. I carefully assembled the aluminum rod, requiring a bit of twisting and pushing to secure it in place. To prevent any damage, I kept all nuts loose while wiggling the rod into position. Two pieces are required for this setup, which are bolted to the arms and lower body using slightly longer screws than recommended in the PEON 230 instructions. I opted for a 3Mx20mm machine screw with nyloc nuts, which provides added stability. While I'm unsure how these modifications will impact flight performance, I'll have to wait until my build is complete. To create this custom landing skid, I used the following materials and settings: * Flashforge Creator Pro 3D printer * Simplify3D software for precise printing control * ABS plastic as the primary material * A layer height of 0.2mm for maximum detail * 100% infill to ensure structural integrity
