Penycloddiau stands tall as the largest hill fort in Wales, sprawling across 21 hectares of land. Situated at an impressive 440 meters above sea level, this Iron Age monument commands a stunning view from its lofty perch on the Clwydian range. Aerial surveys conducted to support Liverpool University's Archaeology Field School have shed new light on Penycloddiau's significance, in collaboration with CADW, Denbighshire County Council, and Oxford University's excavations at nearby Bodfari Hillfort.
