Here's a second pentomino starter set that uses boxes as targets, making puzzles even more engaging and satisfying. Filling in the boxes adds an extra layer of challenge and fun. This starter set includes two sets of three pentominos: one base set and one addenda set. The base set consists of the L, P, and Y pentominos, while the addenda set is made up of the V, W, and Z pentominos. By adding a single pentomino from the addenda set to the base set, you'll create a 4x5 rectangle puzzle. As an added aid, each problem comes with its own target box - the right size for the solution. With this setup, you can explore various combinations of pieces and find the perfect fit. When it comes to solving these puzzles, the Z pentomino yields only one possible arrangement, but if you choose the V pentomino, three different arrangements are waiting to be discovered. Meanwhile, selecting the W pentomino reveals five unique solutions. Below, you'll find all nine possible solutions to get you started. To make it easier to keep track of your pieces, two boxes that hold the complete set of six pentominos are included. One box is marked on the bottom for easy return of the pieces, while the other is unmarked and serves as a target for an even more challenging problem.
