I used Sketchup Pro 2015 to transform a pent-star shirikan into a unique flower pot. Since I decided not to print it, there's no picture available. The techniques involved were relatively simple and are explained below. I had a blast creating this unusual creation. If you want a one-of-a-kind flower pot that was originally a weapon, this 3D model is worth checking out. How I Created It I started by uploading a premade pent-star shirikan from Thingiverse, which was created by rikkilambo. I chose it because I'm a fan of the show Naruto and wanted to challenge myself by transforming a weapon into something non-threatening. To transform the shirikan into a flower pot, I used shapes like squares from the option box in Sketchup Pro. After choosing that option, I drew a square on each end of the penti-star and then extruded them downward. I also used the straight line option to create triangle shapes, which I then extruded outward using the extrude option button. Along with that, I drew straight lines that connected each square to form a base structure. In Sketchup Pro, another option box I utilized was extrusion, which allows an object to be pulled forward or backward. Finally, I extruded the base triangles upward to give it depth and left a small hole for the plant to grow out of, as well as holes on the sides for better access and space for the plant to thrive.
