Auxiliary Battery for Pentax Q7 I use mine to take photos on top of a trinocular stereo microscope. Being able to attach a bigger battery means I can rely on auto-off and rarely need to recharge, or just use bench power/USB and never worry about recharging. Any DC 3.5-ish Volt supply you have will do. Some images show how to use resistors to convert USB connection to 3.7V. I plan to HDMI my Q7 into a 55" TV that sits behind my microscope, so using the 3.7V is simpler. Works for Me: PLA, 0.4mm nozzle, 0.2mm layers, no supports, 5% grid infill, and specify 0.4mm external perimeter in your slicer or tolerances may not work. It's pretty forgiving though, so whatever... if probes don't fit in the slots with nichrome on one side and wrapped around the tip... then you need to set perimeter width. I had to print my probes in a bunch of 4 before I got one that didn't fail, and when I printed two next to the battery dummy I only had one not fail. So they are a pain to print. You could almost certainly print them more easily lying down. However, you should print the BODY of the thing as-is (upright), with no supports.
