This adapter enables you to attach your Pentax Q camera in place of a microscope's eyepiece, fitting any 23mm inner tube diameter microscope. Customization for different diameters is possible. The images show the chip from an SD card's shots taken with the Q7 and a Konus microscope utilizing a 10/0.25 objective lens, illuminated by a Metz P-TTL flash with soft box. To print the adapter, use black ABS in matte finish if possible; no raft or supports are required. Depending on your printer calibration, you might need to trim it for perfect fit. Post-completion, paint the inside matte black to reduce reflections affecting contrast. Since upper layers have minimal material, slow down printing speed for proper cooling. In Skeinforge, set a minimum layer time of 10 seconds under 'Cool' tab to maintain consistent flow and avoid blobs. Experimentation may be needed for optimal results.
