Pentax Lense cap
thingiverse
The current version of my lens cap is an improvement over the previous one due to reported issues. It's specifically designed for K-mount lenses. A key note about the modeling process is that it's done in inches and then scaled into millimeters, which may result in some accuracy loss. However, this method aligns with my design approach. Before printing the final lens cap, it's recommended to first test print it to ensure proper fit on your camera. The file name for the test object is "lense_cap_cover_v4.25.4_test.stl". If you find that the size is appropriate after testing, proceed with printing the scaled and ready-to-go model. The numbering system used in the filenames combines the version number, the scaled factor from inches, and the file type (e.g., "lense_cap_cover_v4.25.4.stl" for 1.5mm filament and "lens_cap_cover_v4_test.27.6.gcode" for a 3mm filament printer).
