I protect my Galaxy S5 with a clear cover that fits perfectly. To prevent scratches and damage, I've added rubber bumpers to the base of the case, which works exceptionally well when keeping it on my car's dashboard. The clear cover also shields it from direct sunlight. When printing with Simplify3D, I often uncheck the raft option as it tends to be too excessive, but for this specific project, I like the way the raft looks and adds extra weight for stability by including raft base layers.
