Penrose Pyramorphix
myminifactory
This puzzle is a straightforward extension mod of a mini East Sheen 2x2. It demands manual sawing and super glueing, making it definitely not suitable for the faint of heart, but if you manage to overcome these obstacles, it's an exceptional little puzzle that's a lot of fun to play around with. I conceptualized this puzzle when I saw a Penrose Pyraminx and felt that it didn't look as impressive as it could. I wanted to incorporate a larger fillet on the edge and switch out the mechanism inside from a pyraminx to a 2x2. Ultimately, I added a chamfer around the edge as well, which I thoroughly enjoy. Print: 4x Corner I 4x Corner II You'll need a mini East Sheen 2x2 to create this puzzle. If you already have one, you'll also need to trim off four of the mini 2x2's corners in order to accommodate the pieces on the puzzle and then superglue the remaining trimmed corner onto the puzzle. Printing the pieces will give you a clearer understanding of what I'm describing. The puzzle requires minimal support material but does necessitate some.
