Penrose Cube Illusion

Penrose Cube Illusion

thingiverse

This text demonstrates a 3D model inspired by the Penrose Triangle illusion; its challenge level is similar to the original. The model uses 31 cubes to form an enlarged, not-exactly cube design. Versions are parallax-corrected at 40 cm viewing distance and differ in size, not just scaling. Available for download as pcube10.stl (98.32 x 98.41 x 15.14 mm), pcube15.stl (148.03 x 148.15 x 22.03 mm), and pcube20.stl (197.39 x 196.83 x 28.77 mm). New braced versions, pcube15_braced.stl and pcube20_braced.stl, help maintain stability during printing. The larger the print, the better the effect; even the 10 cm version shows noticeable impact. Support is not needed for this model.
