Penny Sailer - 1
thingiverse
Another quickie idea I had. I'll print one out and test it! Insert a coin of the correct denomination as a keel, cut sails from acetate, and voila, you have a little mini sailboat! Loosely associated with my sailing submarine project. Print the foremast at 50% scale so it can fit! - Default is for QTY 2 x Canadian Dimes - Also included is the Euro 2Cent piece version - And one for the American Penny "If you're Canadian, why do you still call it a penny sailer?" --> We don't mint pennies anymore, but if we did, I'd use them. <h1>Update</h1> Mast has been revised. Test Results: Probably could have made a "Loonie Sailer" or Quarter sailer for the buoyancy the hull gives. I truncated the masts because it was too top-heavy.
