Penny-Cross Fidget Spinner
thingiverse
This spinner was designed specifically for single-handed fidgeting because most common spinner models are just too bulky to fit comfortably in most hands. The pennies provide the perfect balance - snug enough to prevent excessive noise, yet loose enough to allow for smooth and satisfying fidgeting action. One of the best things about this design is that it can be easily printed without any support structures, and once assembled, the different parts snap together seamlessly. To build one of these spinners, you'll need: 2 body pieces, 2 middle pieces, 16 pennies, and a single skate bearing. The great thing about this design is that the pennies can be added after the body has been snapped together, making it easy to get everything just right. One tip I've found helpful is to print with slightly better tolerances - this way, the pennies are snug enough to prevent excessive noise, but still loose enough for smooth fidgeting action. If you do find that your pennies are a bit too loose, try wrapping the bearing in a 2mm-wide tape strip - it's a simple fix that makes all the difference! Enjoy!
