Penguin party - a mechanical toy

I built this for my son's request. The concept and design came directly from a book called "Paper Engineering & Pop-ups For Dummies". A picture on one of its pages featured a "penguin party", but the small grayscale image gave me a blank slate to work with. I had to start from scratch, which actually turned out to be a fun challenge. As you turn the handle, the penguins spring into action - they jump and lift their wings in perfect dance moves.
