Pendulum Wave: Relating Wavelength to Frequency
pinshape
A Pendulum Wave offers a unique chance to examine the characteristics of waves. This mechanism is an effective and engaging way to teach students about the relationship between wavelength and frequency. I developed this lesson plan while teaching a Youth Physics Camp. I needed an exciting method to teach students this physics concept. Students were highly interested in building the physical model, and many were fascinated by the movements and patterns of the pendulum wave. I also allowed students to design their own pendulum weights using the TinkerCAD software. Many students were excited to see Minions, and other self-designed pieces, swinging on the pendulum. I have attached a lesson plan and video that can help teachers use this tool. YouTube Video: https://youtu.be/FzGaJeNmRnc Lesson Plan: https://docs.google.com/document/d/...
