Pendule rocaille clock with clock insert hole
thingiverse
I discovered a clock insert on eBay that seems perfect for this project, so I resized the clock and carefully carved out a hole to accommodate the insert. My print bed has limited space at only 150x150x150 mm, so I had to split the clock into three manageable pieces. The cutting process wasn't ideal, but with some creativity and patience, you can create supports and achieve good glues joints. To refine the model, I took it into Meshmixer and attempted to smooth out some of the clock's imperfections. While it looks slightly better now, further work may be necessary. If you're interested in acquiring the same clock insert, follow this link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/2-1-2-65mm-QUARTZ-CLOCK-FIT-UP-Insert-Gold-Trim-Roman-Numeral-Easy-to-Use/302500496595?hash=item466e6f44d3:g:ruIAAOSwiQ9ZR0Ak Alternatively, you can search for "2-1/2" (65mm) QUARTZ CLOCK Insert, Gold Trim, Roman Numeral" on eBay. To give your printed clock a high-end finish, consider applying primer and metallic paint. I used Seal All glue to assemble the pieces and then applied Primer followed by Shiny silver paint.
