Having built-in WiFi is nice, but not for bed levelling and quick z offset adjustment.  But it could be used for anything else.  If your screen has nuts it shouldn't need the spacer. If not the spacer provided can be cut down to size in your slicer to suit your screen.The RJ45 connector is held captive between the housing and screen/PCB.You'll need 6 x M2x12 screws or similar sized self tappers.
