This design improves pencil accessibility by spreading them out in an easily insertable and replaceable manner. The design also allows for easy visibility of all pencils at once, facilitating quick selection of the needed one. Additionally, it remains relatively balanced when a few pencils are removed, accommodates pencils with varying diameters, conceals sharp points from view, and presents a decent aesthetic despite being somewhat utilitarian. Performance with mixed-length pencil collections is yet to be fully evaluated; preliminary observations suggest that shorter pencils may require placement in the nearest available slots.
