This design sets itself apart by spreading pencils out far enough for easy insertion and replacement, showcasing all of them at once so you can quickly locate the one you need, maintaining a stable balance even when removing several, accommodating pencils of varying diameters, concealing sharp ends from view, and presenting a clean appearance despite being somewhat utilitarian in design. I'm unsure how well this will perform with a mix of long and short pencils, but it's likely that shorter pencils will require placement in the closest available holes.
