I never imagined I'd be able to craft the lip that unites the pencil trays but appreciated the overall design so I incorporated a dovetail to secure them together and several cutouts to simplify retrieving the pencils. The STL was imported into SketchUp, scaled up and details were added... it's currently being printed in PLA on my Rep2.
