So, occasionally I'll find a project that's probably not worth the effort, but I push forward anyway. This is one of those instances. I purchased this battery-powered pencil sharpener at Goodwill and it didn't have a protective cover. It wasn't long before I discovered there must be some type of easy-to-lose cover that goes over the sharpening mechanism, so I measured its dimensions carefully and created a replacement design. I attempted to design it in such a way that it could be printed without any additional support structures, but unfortunately I had better success printing with external supports applied. This may sound optimistic, but hopefully, this posting will revive a few of those pencil sharpeners that have lost their protective covers due to careless handling.
