Pencil Sharpener Cover
prusaprinters

Worked with a teacher on Facebook to make an old time pencil sharpner cover. Teacher was looking for a replacement, and didn't want to ebay just the cover. I'm learning Fusion 360, so I took it on as a challenge. She's super stoked that she's getting a 3d printed cover because now she has a story to tell the class about how a perfect stranger on facebook helped her make this cover for her pencil sharpener.

She didn't have a clean way of getting measurements to me, but another person had the exact same model, calipers, and took all the measurements and photographs of the original case. I took liberties with the faceplate, and it doesn't have a spinny thing in front and the teacher didn't need one.

I sent test fits of the endcap that attaches to the sharpener to see if everything fits, and this is what we have working so far.

The tolerance of my printer allow everything to snap fit without gluing, but I would recommend if you're going to use this to superglue or gloop everything together.

I printed using Polymaker 3D, .2mm (quality). The endcaps don't need support. The body needs support from the build plate, and I highly recommend “snug” support from Prusaslicer 2.4+ (you'll have to turn that setting on in the support menu).

---
You may not sell my print.
You may not sell my files.
Feel free to remix for your own pencil sharpener
