This one started as a bet. A friend was adamant a specific local fish species would never be caught on topwater as they are too skittish. I bet It could be done. So, I designed this lure to prove him wrong. On only its third cast I achieved success! This little chugging topwater popper has a very noisy very tight walking pattern. Walk it quickly for maximum noise or do two quick twitches followed by a long pause. I've found that 5-7 seconds can be required to entice shy or skittish species, but they do hit it and hit it hard.
