Inspired by a pencil-based spinning wheel, I decided to experiment with building one using pencils. I purchased 96 #2 AmazonBasics pencils for just $5, took precise measurements (7.1mm across), and crafted some joints with 7.25mm hex holes - a snug friction fit that holds strong.
