The Opuntia ramosissima, or Pencil Cholla, is depicted in this XfrogPlants 3D model set with three distinct, highly detailed, and textured versions of the plant at varying stages of growth. Also referred to as the "Diamond Cholla" or "Branching Pencil," it bears flowers in late Spring. Notably, its myriad tiny spines readily detach upon slight contact, embedding themselves into the skin and proving challenging to extract.
