Print the pencil case lid and the tolerance test file first to see if your printer can handle the tolerance when screwing on the lid. Each piece should take approximately 10-20 minutes each to print using a 0.2mm layer height. This model was designed to be printed with a 0.4mm nozzle.Completed Jar Dimensions:38mm Diameter155mm Height (With Lid)This is still an early prototype, and I felt that the tolerance was getting good enough to post. If your tolerances are correct, the lid should stay snug and tight and keep your pens and pencils in without issues. This prints were made using the stock 0.4mm nozzle with 0.2mm layer height with all the generic ABS settings on PrusaSlicer using the Spiral Vase Mode. I am interested in seeing how prints using a larger nozzle will turn out and how much tweaking will be required, so please post photos and your adjustments if you are successful! If you are planning to use this for long term, I would not print this in PLA. I would suggest printing in PETG or ABS or some over heat resistant filament to prevent warping especially if you will be bringing this in a backpack that may be exposed to hot day time temperatures. Models in PhotosThe models in the photos were all made using ABS filament.
